About Our Directory

Welcome to the SDGOnline.ca, a one-stop resource centre for information on organizations and businesses serving Cornwall and the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas, & Glengarry. This portal has been made possible through the partnership of the Cornwall Public Library & Sci-Tech Consulting. We hope you will find it a valuable resource. Please read on to learn more about our Directory.

Directory

The SDGOnline.ca Directory uses a 4-tier structure - Headings, Sections, Categories, and Listings. The Directory Headings and Sections are conveniently displayed on the Home Page under the menu button "Online Directory" as well as under the title "Browse Categories Alphabetically". Click on a Section to view all of its categories; then on a Category to view all of its listings.

Tutorial

A short tutorial is available under the "About" menu to help you find information in our Directory quickly and efficiently. The Tutorial contains 20 tasks. Each task includes a Sample Search and a Step-by-step Solution. The Tutorial should take 10 to 30 minutes to complete, depending on your computer skills and the number of searches you try on your own.

Searching / Browsing

Search our Directory lets you search for a Listing or a Category. Type the name, or part of the name you are searching for, in the text box.

Browse our Guides lets you browse for specific information in the Directory - telephone numbers, fax numbers, business cards, email address, website address and key contact people.

Advanced Search lets you search for Key Words in the Business Profiles, for telephone numbers, and for all the listings in a particular town or city

Other Features

There are a number of other very useful features including:

• New / Updated Listing (for the last 10 days)
• Links to local information including media, weather and movie listings
• Links to local resources including the Postal Code & Telephone Exchange Finder
• Links to other information including Bell 411 & Canada Post

Besides viewing a particular listing, you can also Print It without the top & left side menu bars showing, Map It using Mapquest & Send It to a Friend.

Businesses can register online by using one of the Registration Forms; a Form is available for each type of listing along with a list of available categories to be listed under.
